We are faced, today, with a winner-take-all battle for the survival of our United States of America as we have known it. Already without the boundaries set forth in the Declaration and the Constitution, the future of our country now hangs by the thinnest financial thread. Ben Franklin and Alexis de Tocqueville warned about the prospect of a failure that we have managed to avoid for 230 years. Now, the citizens of America appear to be mere spectators awaiting their country and their futures to die by suicide.
Corruption in Washington, DC has become an accepted and flagrant practice. Those who would destroy the concepts of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness continue to undermine our Constitution and our way of life. Our local, state and federal governments, responsible to We the People, have successfully betrayed a willing population. Those destroyers have modeled a society made up, more and more, of victims, parasites, political opportunists and saboteurs of our constitutionally limited republic. Whether they have done it by design or through ignorance and error makes no difference to the facts at hand. Those charged with the defense of our Constitution and the rights of We the People have betrayed us none-the-less.
It’s time for a bare-knuckles, knock-down, drag-out battle with Socialist-Democrats in every quarter of our country. The Socialist-Democrats and their like-minded union supporters are rallying their members and parasites to the cause. Harry Reid and Barrack Obama have succeeded in cowing the cringling Speaker of the House and his band of RINOs to losing the first round of what should, and must, be the most important battle of the years since the end of World War II.
The most incompetent president in the history of our nation, supported by the likes of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Charles Schumer and so many others, drew his proverbial line in the sand on April 13th as he warned Speaker Boehner and all Republicans not to pursue the budget recommendations of Representative Paul Ryan and his committee. It would appear, after the recent “compromise” between Speaker Boehner and Harry Reid and the President, that Speaker Boehner and too many of his Republican flock simply do not have the stomach for the fight required today. The Republican-controlled House of Representatives has, thus far, “chosen” to run from the threats, barbs, lies and shouts of the Socialist-Democrats, the liberal media and big-business unions.
When can we expect the GOP to commit to the job they were elected to do? When can we expect to see the GOP get their hands just a little bit dirty? Are we left to expect that Republicans will remain the gutless chumps we have come to expect during the past 20 years? Perhaps it’s time for another political party…a party that exhibits an aptitude for hard politic as the Socialist-Democrats who have led us down the path to socialism and self-destruction over the last 60 years.
